Hello, I am Karen, I have used listening/counselling skills in various roles for over 30 years, including Rape Crisis, and Substance Misuse.
I myself benefitted from counselling over 35 years ago, which turned a life of crisis into a wholesome and fulfilling life of good and happiness.
During my years, I have helped many people, and this service is to support and help many more going forward.
You will attend an appointment where I can assess support needs if required. This can only be done with your permission.
During your first meeting, I will introduce myself, explain the role more fully, outline what can be offered and answer any questions you may have. There will be a contract to sign.
During the meeting, if you are comfortable, I will listen to what you wish to share and explore finding a way forward if required.
Towards the end of the meeting, a summary of the meeting will be agreed upon with you if required. This record will then be stored and held securely and confidentially.
